Black Myth Wukong is truly a masterpiece - Review
Updated: 3 days ago
Black Myth Wukong is a stunning epic, not like a souls-like or God of War, but a blend of both, together it has produced one of the best games I've ever played.
Black Myth Wukong's Showcase of Passion
Black Myth's game-opening shows both the beauty and detail of the game, it's stunning. The combat is some of the most fluent and visually perfected combat styles you'll ever touch. The game is teeming with the development team's passion, and this is one of the greatest games you'll ever play. This game clearly shows the dedication and passion of the developers. The destructible environment while fighting in the beautiful landscapes brings the experience together, graphically it blows cyberpunk out of the water.
A Fresh Mythology to Create an Unforgettable Experience
Throughout the chapters, there are these mini-animes throughout the game, and I was blown away by each one. They are so well made, and the music and visuals are top-notch. Everything in this world is entirely new, not overplayed Norse or Greek mythologies, which both movies and games endlessly tell about, but for me, a non-Asian player, experiencing the story for the first time is the same feeling when you first experience the epics of other mythologies.
Performance & Final Thoughts
On the performance side of things the game was reviewed on PC with a 4080 and Intel Core I9-9900k on max settings + raytracing at 1440p and was averaging between 70-80 FPS. For thee most stunning game I've ever played, that is beyond acceptable performance. What really pushed Black Myth Wukong from a 9.5 to a 10 was the ending boss fight, it was truly amazing.
