Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Is a Masterpiece of Historical Immersion and Detail - A Review
KCD2 has the passion of Black Myth: Wukong and it's grounded in relativity good historical realism that sells the narrative and the game beautifully. The scenes and vistas are breathtaking and I love the stylized UI with the 15th-century art, the passion of the developers oozes out with the attention to detail. Let us continue with our Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Review!
Setting and World Building
The dialogue is what you'd imagine people from the 15th century would talk and act like, albeit with a bit of modern hints with the cussing, the game is steeped in Catholic Europe, as it should be, with the sign of the cross being utilized by many of the people you encounter, the use of "God Willing" and "Saints be praised" all the characters talk like they are the Catholics they ought to be. This attention to detail, although small, really brings the experience together, which is to immerse you in the 15th century Bohemia during the tumultuous reign of King Wenceslas IV within the Holy Roman Empire.

Good & meaningful Side Missions!
The game rewards you when you do the side mentions, and they are often mentioned alongside the main story line, based on the deeds you did in the side missions. Some side missions have more care compared to others, with full cutscenes and music for them, which was all executed brilliantly once again. The missions are all different and very diverse in what you do. You get lost in the world, and it's a good thing
I went on for 7 hours doing quests and upgrading armor and my gear, totally immersed in the world Warhorse has created, it was addictive and exciting, and I was rewarded for my curiosity.

The Town of Kuttenberg
The attention to detail is pretty outstanding, and with all the NPC's is truly feels alive, with each having their own conversations around you, this appears to be where most of the development time went, each corner has been decorated with a purpose, with stone masons, or people carrying out their daily tasks, when you walk by people they mention either your dog or your stench. The one downside is that no church is enterable.

Jiggle Physics
Nothing more needs to be said

Combat too easy
Build up to a fight it took 3 hits and I won, pretty lame. As well as later duels, either doing too much side content made me too strong or its just too easy for 1v1's once you learn some combo's. But it was pretty disappointing. This remained throughout the entire game, everyone was practically a few hits.

Acting and Performance Capture
The acting and performance capture is phenomenal in many areas, but in some it is subpar. But man, the visual fidelity and the acting alongside good voice acting, it in many regards feels like a blockbuster film, with all the traditional music ques and shots you'd expect from one.

Bugs & Performance
The game's bugs are minor, and mostly physics issues with clothes, cinematic transitions (seeing people quickly fade in and out, or not loading in quick enough) and some hitbox issues with jumping over rocks. But other than that, it's very polished. And from that players of KCD1 have said, it seems miles better from the first one which still till this day is riddled with bugs and performance issues.
There's also some character popping up getting ready for the next scene that you see before the screen goes fully black, as well sometimes you don't see yourself in a dialogue sequence, although this is rare. Also during the final sequence the voice acting wasn't working, the subtitles were on, but no voices. Relaunching the game only made it worse, this really sucked because this was the end of the game. The strangest bug was a dialogue bug, which you can see below.

In my 80 hours, I had only 1 crash to the desktop. With my 4080 and 7900X3D, I had some FPS drops for the larger sequences, that dipped below 60 with DLSS Quality and Ultra settings.

The Music
Every note and song fits the themes perfectly, the game specifically during the opening gives you all the heavy hitters with the beautiful orchestra which fits the stunning visuals of the game.

The Gay Option
Throughout the story you never give an inclination that you, or this other person are gay. In fact, you ramble on and on about women, lasses, and whores you want to have sex with. The gay option doesn't add to the story or narrative either in my opinion, and seems like it was just added because "why not" which is not always a great design choice.
If you do not engage with the first romance option with the other character, it will not show up for the rest of the game, this seems to be the saving grace.
Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2 Review Conclusion
Although the game adds fictional characters, and distorts some historical aspects, it, for the most part, sticks to historical realism, and the game is a masterpiece of a game from the aspect of cinematic, gameplay, and story telling. And is a must play game that I thoroughly enjoyed!
